The Acorn Nursery School

Established in 1977 The Acorn Nursery School has become a byword amongst local parents for excellence in nursery school education for 3 to 5 year-olds. Based in Holland Park this welcoming, well-structured nursery school has a high proportion of Montessori trained staff and uses Montessori materials to create a secure and happy environment for children to prepare for their future in education.

We created a new identity for them in 2009, based upon an initial consultation with staff and parents. We designed a promotional brochure outlining the qualities of the school, led visually by Richard Lewisohn’s portraits of children going about their daily activities. These are interleaved by a series of personal endorsements from parents. The brochure features a pocket attached to the back cover enclosing separate information sheets for their admissions policy that can be produced in-house.
