London Starts Here
We are currently finishing work on a new online city guide to London called London Starts Here. The site gives visitors the inside track to all the city has to offer. Backed by a consortium of travel experts, the site extends the work we have been doing promoting areas of the city during the last 10 years for several central London regeneration partnerships. It will launch later this month, in time for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the sporting events taking place throughout the city during the summer months, like Wimbledon and the London 2012 Olympic Games.
London Starts Here will take the form of a blog enabling contributors to add items as they are on the move around the city. The site will push time sensitive visitor information in an instant feed to hand held devices, for a
more immediate feel for users who want to keep up with the events we've featured. There will be editorial about central London's secret hot spots and lesser known neighbourhoods, with spot light features about selected retailers, and activities including festivals, concerts, live events, street markets and special one-off retail events. The new identity has been created by Ben McArthur for Sugarfree.
AMA Conference 2012
We've just created the identity for the forthcoming AMA Conference 2012. The design was inspired by 70s nail art, created by Riccardo Sitler at Sugarfree, the motif is hand stitched to reveal the conference themes.
Delegates will explore whether there is a disconnect between arts organisations and the everyday lives of their audiences and visitors. The conference sessions will give delegates insight into how best to connect, engage and inspire the public through the arts.
AMA conferences are national forums for professional marketers and the best way to explore the latest trends and thinking in marketing, audience development, media engagement, connecting more effectively with the public. It is a great way to meet with colleagues, pick up tips from the most influential minds in the business and network. We try to go each year. To book your place, click on the link. This year AMA are going to the seaside, see you in Brighton!
The Diamond Store
The Diamond Store London is one of the UK's leading diamond jewellery e-commerce sites. They regularly revise their award-winning website selling beautifully designed, hand-crafted diamond jewellery. We create the visuals for this highly navigable and responsive website and are going to be working on a new print based product promotion explaining the care and attention to detail that goes into selecting gems and materials for their jewellery, consistent with Diamond Store's brand values.
Sugarfree would like to congratulate them as they've been selected as a finalist in the UK Jewellery Retail Awards 2012, for the third year running. We hope it will be third time lucky!
Prestel Verlag
Starting with Absolute Beginners and ending with Zoot Money, authors and followers of all things Mod Paolo Hewitt and Mark Baxter touch on every facet of this enduring strand of youth culture. Established in the late 50s and reaching its zenith during the mid 60s, the Mod movement has re-occurred in a slightly different guise every 10 years re-inventing itself as a new generation adopts its sleek style. Sure enough with the recent popularity of HBO's Madmen, in 2011 Mod inspired designs re-surfaced again on the fashion runways of the world.
Designed by Riccardo Sitler at Sugarfree, the visual material for the new book features an eclectic mixture of original artwork and photographs selected by the authors from a variety of archives and their own resources. There is a foreword by actor Martin Freeman. A to Z of Mod is published on 9 May 2012 by Prestel Verlag.
City of London Corportion
We've designed the City of London property advisory team's Making the City Work. A new brochure outlining the extent of their property services for 2012. The City Property Advisory Team (CPAT) is based at the City of London Corporation, in the City Surveyor’s Department, linked to the Department of the Built Environment.
The team works closely with property professionals to facilitate development in the City, and ensure the right buildings are provided to suit business needs. CPAT implement a wide remit that involves working with occupiers, developers, investors, agents and utilities companies, as well as other property stakeholders such as retail businesses and inward investment bodies.
